Prime Bangkok Wins the Football Championship TEIJIN U-17 New Generation Cup 2024

The Japan Dream Football Association (JDFA), Teijin Polyester Co., Ltd., Thonburi University, and Thonburi United, the main sponsors of the event,
have jointly opened the TEIJIN U-17 New Generation Cup 2024 Thailand football tournament. This exciting event features under-17 players from Thailand, Japan, and Malaysia,
with a total of 8 teams. The tournament aims to give these young players a chance to experience the path to becoming new stars in the ASEAN football scene,
taking place from August 6-9, 2024, at Thonburi Stadium.
 
Mr. Masao Kiba, the tournament organizer and president of the Japan Dream Football Association (JDFA), revealed that the JDFA has been scouting J-League players from Southeast Asia
and has received support from Teijin Polyester (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the main sponsor of the TEIJIN U-17 New Generation Cup 2024 Thailand. The aim is to support Thai youth in their growth,
development in sports, social skills, and daily life, as well as to provide these young players with the opportunity to exchange experiences, develop football skills,
and learn from their international peers to strengthen the future of Thai youth.
 
Additionally, Mr. Kazushige Asada from Teijin Polyester Co., Ltd. stated, "As we know, football is one of the most popular sports in the world.
The TEIJIN group has been supporting high school football competitions across Japan since 1991. Therefore, Teijin Polyester (Thailand) Co., Ltd. has decided to support
the TEIJIN U-17 New Generation Cup 2024 in Thailand as a member of the TEIJIN group because we believe that sports competitions help young football players build their mind, body,
and spirit together with their teammates and world-class players. We hope that all participants will have the opportunity to compete with players
from other countries and increase their enthusiasm and potential through this football competition."
 
The "TEIJIN U-17 New Generation Cup 2024 Thailand" football tournament includes youth football teams under the age of 17 from leading clubs in Thailand (6 teams),
Japan (1 team), and Malaysia (1 team), with a total of 8 teams. The teams are divided into two groups: Group A and Group B, each consisting of the following teams:
 
Group A: POLICE TERO / PRIME BANGKOK / PORT / Johor Darul Ta'zim
Group B: ASSUMPTION UNITED / CHONBURI FC / TFCA / AZUL CLARO NUMAZU
 
The tournament will be conducted in a knockout format to select the winning teams from each group to compete in the final round.
There are also awards for the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Top Scorer.
